Srinagar, Jan 19 (KNS): At least four policemen were Friday injured in a grenade blast in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday, police said.
Officials informed Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the militants lobbed a grenade at police station Pulwama, which exploded causing injuries four policemen.
The officials also informed that scores of vehicles got also damaged in the blast. “The injured policemen were shifted to the hospital and are stable,” they said.
They further informed that scores of private vehicles were also damaged in the blast.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Kashmir Range, S P Pani said that four cops were injured in the grenade blast today in Pulwama.
“Four Policemen received injury in the grenade blast at Pulwama. All are stated to be stable.@JmuKmrPolice,” DIG tweeted.
In his previous tweet, DIG said that the area has been cordoned. (KNS)
