Srinagar, Feb 7 (KNS): Even as the school education department has cancelled attachment of nearly 450 government teachers and transferred them to various schools of the state, a large number teachers are yet to be relieved from the directorate.
“Nearly 37 teachers, masters and lecturers are still attached with directorate in different wings and sections there,” sources in the directorate said.
Sources said that some of these attached teachers have been posted there in sections like cultural wing, litigation, planning, gazetted, and teaching sections, OSD, innovation cell and other sections.
Besides the directorate, scores of teachers are still attached in State Project Director of SSA.
“Most of the teachers are attached with the directorate from many years, while some have been attached in the last several months,” sources said.
Director School Education Kashmir, Shah Faesal told KNS that the order by the government has been complied with and all the attached teachers, which included 256 from Kashmir division, have been relieved.
“All the teachers which have been attached in the different sections of the department have been relieved. Though some teachers will be kept in the directorate for managing some sections as per the order,” Faesal told KNS.
The director said that recently four teachers were relieved from SPD and they have been transferred to schools.
“All the teachers will have to go to schools to teach the students for which they draw their salary,” he said.
Sources in the directorate said that the file of relieving the attached teachers is yet to be finalized and the attached teachers are yet to be relieved from the directorate. (KNS)
