Srinagar, Jan 09 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday nullified the reports about it revoking the new job policy under which those inducted in government service post 2015 are entitled to draw only meager wages for the period of five years.
SRO 202 was issued by Government of Jammu and Kashmir on June 30, 2015 and remains applicable thereafter. SRO 202 is a set of rules issued by the Governor (N N Vohra) of Jammu and Kashmir under the powers conferred by the proviso to section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.
Under the SRO 202, during the period of first five years, the government appointee shall be entitled to the minimum of scale of pay along with the grade pay applicable to the post against which he is appointed. And further every appointee shall after completion of five years period on probation be entitled to fixation of pay in the time-scale of pay applicable to the post against which he is appointed.
