‘Prohibiting foreign media, testifies our claim’

Srinagar, Jul 22 (KNS): Paying glowing tributes to slain youth in Kulgam, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that state people are facing extreme situations and added during and after these encounters the civilian populations are subjected to arbitrary measures and un-proportionate military might.
In a statement issued to KNS, Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep concern over prevailing horrendous situations in state and said that virtually authorities have changed state into a battle field. We salute our martyrs, said Geelani and added that it is stubborn attitude of India that precious lives are being snatched from already subjugated and suppressed people of occupied state.
Syed Ali Geelani also expressed his deep grief over the demise of uncle of incarcerated leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, praying for the departed soul. Geelani extended his condolences to bereaved family and prayed for their forbiddance to bear this irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, prohibiting foreign media and banning their entry in occupied state testifies our claim that Indian authorities are perpetrating excesses and it is inoperable step to shield and cover criminals in uniform, Hurriyat said on Sunday and added if authorities feel that they have nothing to conceal, then New Delhi should not shy out from facing world community over day to day occurrences of incidents of human tragedies and deteriorating situations in occupied state.
Strongly reacting over the advisory” for foreign correspondents working in India, barring them from traveling to state and from discharging their journalistic activities about prevailing situations and events in occupied Jammu Kashmir without authorities’ prior permission, Hurriyat said that it reflects their autocratic mindset.
New Delhi should not shy out from facing world community over day to day incidents of human tragedies and deteriorating situations in occupied state, Hurriyat said.
It is futile exercise to conceal the atrocities perpetrated by Indian forces, Hurriyat said, saying that unabated and ceaseless cycle of killings, intimidations, detentions, assault on women and vandalizing properties continue to haunt peaceful people in occupied state and on the other authorities in their vain attempts are protecting and providing cover to their barbaric forces. No cover or velvet gloves can cover blood drenched hands or conceal the war crimes committed by forces, said Hurriyat and added that inhuman and callous approach of authorities can neither forces us to submission or break our resolve.
Laying curbs on journalists is a vane and unsuccessful attempt to blackmail international community and a useless phase to keep veil on horrendous situations in occupied state, Hurriyat said and added that world community should seek explanation about the motive behind such autocratic and heartless approach of authorities.
Occupied state is a highly militarized zone in world and as such people are living in suffocated situations and facing extreme wrath from occupied sources and added it is a martial law like situations as all basic and fundamental human rights have been trampled and tormented.
Appealing UNHRC for their cognizance, Hurriyat said that it is their moral obligation to check and see the human rights violations and facilitate resolution of Kashmir issue as per aspirations of people in occupied state.
The Hurriyat Conference repeats the United Nations Human Rights Commission to observe the ground situation, saying that this moral and political responsibility is given on a decent nation.
In the state of Jammu and Kashmir, taking serious notice of the use of extremist forces and the use of extremist force against the self-determination of public struggle and play a role in finding a fair solution to this long-term political issue, Hurriyat sad.
Meanwhile Hurriyat expressed grief over the demise of Mohd Ismaeel Gilkar brother in law of incarcerated leader Gh Mohammad Khan Sopori and prayed for forbiddance to grieved family and highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous for departed soul. (KNS)
