Srinagar, Jul 19 (KNS): Senior Congress leader and former MLA Devsar Mohd Amin Bhat has urged the party cadres to gear up for the assembly elections in JK, besides ensuring defeat of opportunist parties in the State.

He was addressing party workers at Qazigund in Devsar assembly segment today.

Addressing the meeting Mohd Amin Bhat said that Congress party will fight the elections with full might and will emerge a strong force in the State, urging the Party workers strengthen the party further at grass roots level.

He said Congress party will continue to remain committed to the cause of serving people, they (workers) should reach out to people to help them resolve problems confronting them in absence of the popular Govt in the State.

On this occasion senior Congress leader urged upon the Centre Government to hold assembly elections in J&K, without any further delay. “The endless Governor Rule in J&K is not in people’s interest,” Bhat asserted.

“Congress party is strong enough to defeat the false propaganda unleashed by opportunist parties aiming to gain political mileage,” Bhat added and said the party will ensure defeat of these parties and other divisive forces, miserably. (KNS)
