GE Logiq P6 USG installed in PHC Boniyar, locals thank BMO, admin concerned

Srinagar, Sept 23 (KNS): To augment the health infrastructure in valley hospitals and provide adequate healthcare facilities to patients of far off places, authorities on Wednesday installed high-end P6 USG machine in Public Health Centre (PHC) Boniyar.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a long pending demand of locals of Boniyar Uri was resolved after Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr Parvaiz Masoodi utilized his professional efforts in the area and ensured installation of high-end P6 USG machine in the health centre.
The state of art GE Logiq P6 USG machine is a premium performance, highly mobile and easy to use multipurpose imaging system designed for obstetrics, gynecology, cardiology, musculoskeletal, vascular, urological, small parts, superficial, pediatric, neonatal, transcranial, and abdominal applications and as per health experts the effort will decrease the burden of referrals to other Government and private hospitals.
“The patients of adjoining areas have suffered a lot in absence of this state of art machine as earlier one got damaged in worst hit 2014 floods”, locals said.
“It was our long pending demand as patients of the area were compelled to approach private hospitals or clinics for medical investigations which was unaffordable for the poor”, Ishaq Khan told KNS.
The facility will benefit local population of about 80 thousand and also adjoining blocks”, said Dr Parvaiz Masoodi BMO Boniyar.
“I am personally thankful to worthy Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla Dr GN Ittoo, respected CMO and all associated officials of district administration for procuring and installing this high-tech USG machine in our block”, BMO said.
Meanwhile locals of the areas thanked district administration particularly BMO Boniyar for installation of this hi-tech USG machine in the local health centre. (KNS)
