Srinagar, Sep 18 (KNS): Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir has urged the government to release salary of daily wagers working in the government sector on time and on monthly basis.
Mir said that the daily wagers perform basic and vital functions of the administration and the government should honor their hard work by paying them wages on time.
He said that daily wagers time and again take to streets demanding release of their wages, which does not behove a welfare state.
He said that the Governor administration should resolve their salary grievances once for all by framing a mechanism by which daily wagers are paid on monthly basis. (KNS)
