‘22000 labourers would suffer immensely due to privatization of Mining Sector’

Srinagar, Aug 13 (KNS): The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today urged upon the Governor’s Administration to address the concerns of the Labour Class engaged with Mining Sector in J&K.
In a statement to KNS, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir urged upon the Governor’s Administration to get to the bottom line of the issues confronting the Labour Cass engaged with mining Sector in J&K, as that, they were feeling very apprehensive with regard to their livelihood. It was also reported to him (Mir) that 22000 labourers would suffer immensely due to the privatization of Mining Sector.
They (Mining Labourers) while seeking assurance with regard to the livelihood also claimed that the previous PDP BJP Govt has issued some order regarding Privatization of Mining Sector in J&K and sought it’s revocation in the larger interests of Labour class.
The emphasized G.A. Mir to take up the matter with the Governor’s Administration pleading that the decision with regard to privatization of the Mining Sector would jeopardize their livelihood, as that they were fully dependent on this Sector to earn their livelihood.
G.A. Mir while expressing serious concern urged upon the Governor’s Administration to address the genuine concerns of the Labouers to take effective to ensure livelihood to Labour Class. (KNS)
