Srinagar, July 26 (KNS): Four militants were Tuesday killed in an encounter that raged between forces and militants in Nowgam sector in Kupwara district near Line of Control (LoC).
Reports quoting Defence spokesman said that all the four militants are foreigners and had probably infiltrated from Pakistani side very recently.
“One militant was apprehended,” he said, adding that the search operation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has termed the arrest of a militant in Kupawara as a "big success" for security forces.
“Catching a militant alive is a big success as it brings in open the game plan of Pakistan. The arrest of terrorist in Kupwara is a big achievement of security forces," reports quoting Rijiju said. (KNS)
