Srinagar, Jan 06 (KNS): Haji Abdul Gafar Sofi, father of Tehreek-e-Istiqlaal chairman Ghulam Nabi Waseem, passed away on Sunday afternoon after brief illness.
Sofi, who was ill for a long time, died at 2.30 pm at his home in Arampora village of Kupwara district here.
Various political, social and religious leaders have expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
