Faculty of Forestry, SKUAST-K inaugurated the seven days short training course on Soft Skills


Srinagar, Sep 29 (KNS):Faculty of Forestry, SKUAST-Kashmir in collaboration with "NAHEP SKUAST-Kashmir, Institutional Development Plan" started the seven days short training course on Soft Skills for Faculty and Research Scholars on Communication and Personality development from 29th September ? 5th October, 2020.
according to statement issued to KNS reads, the inaugural event was moderated by Dr. Nazir A. Pala and Dr. Megna Rashid. Dr. Javeed A. Mugloo Senior scientist and organising secretary of the event briefed the audience about this short training course and its need at present. Dr. T. H. Masoodi, Dean, Faculty of Forestry, SKUAST-K, delivered the formal welcome address at the event. Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganaie, PPMO and Co-Patron of the event impressed on the need of such programmes for youth of the country. Dr. Mohit Gera,IFS (PCCF Jammu & Kashmir Forest Department) deliberated beautifully on the subject and advised to continue such more programmes as all the departments need such well trained professionals. Prof. (Dr.) Nazeer AhmedHon’ble Vice Chancellor,SKUAST-K directed that all other faculties shall conduct these prograames for students and faculty members for their future welfare. Dr. K. N. Qaisar Head division of SAF, Faculty of Forestry presented vote of thanks.
The programme has more than 1200 registrations from 28 states/UTs of India apart from participation of candidates from ten foreign countries including Germany, Vanenzula, Tanzania, Iran, Iraq and Pakistan. The participants included teaching and scientific fraternity across the country, officers from government functionaries, members from MNCs, research scholars and people from NGOs.
