“Just as in a Republic, we are free to voice our opinion and allowed to protest peacefully, the political leaders currently under arrest must be released unconditionally for a democratic environment to prevail in the valley. We all need to be on the same page in order to redeem our Statehood and domicile rights for citizens. It is only when they are privy to the political development in the region that it can truly be endorsed as a republic,” he said.

 

The Centre must consider releasing these political prisoners on priority and also fulfill their commitment of peace and development in the region by restoration of Statehood. (KNS)
