Srinagar, Sep 27 (KNS): An encounter broke out between Militants and security forces in Samboora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday afternoon.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said joint team of Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched the Cardon and Search operation (CASO) in the area following the inputs of presence of militants in the area.
An official said as the joint team of security forces encircled the suspected the spot the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated ensuing the gun battle in the area.
A senior official also confirmed the exchange of gunfire between the militants and security forces .
