Srinagar, Oct 11 (KNS): An encounter broke out between forces and militants in Shagund Qalamabad area of Hnadwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, police said.
A top police officer confirmed that the search operation was launched in the area that resulted in the gunfight.
He said that the exchange of fire is currently going on.
However, the top cop said that they can't say whether Manan Wani was trapped in the area or not. (KNS)
