Various departments establish their stalls

Anantnag, Dec 07 (KNS): District Employment & counseling centre Anantnag today organized one day job fair at Dak Banglow Khanabal which was inaugurated by Joint Director Employment & counseling Srinagar Ikramullah Tak.
The department of Animal Husbandry, sheep, fisheries, Industries, Handicrafts, Handloom, Agriculture, Horticulture, Apiculture, Mushroom, Urban Development, ITI, sericulture, JKEDI, Employment and counseling centre Anantnag, Lead Bank Anantnag had established their stalls to aware the unemployed educated youth about various state and central sponsored schemes. In cooperate sector 07 multinational companies including IL&FS, Roman Technology, QUESS, multicar services, Suriya wires Pvt. Ltd, care institute of health and science and LIC of India had also set up their stalls to aware the desirous educated unemployed youth for job placement. The line departments and the companies had also kept printed material available for the youth.
The District Development Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik who was the Chief Guest on the occasion inspected all the stalls established by the line departments and various companies.
He also said that the aim of organizing such job fair is to educate and aware the unemployed educated youth about various welfares and job oriented schemes of the Government.
He also said that unemployment is a big challenge for the government as well as for parents. Government is not in a position to provided Government job to every educated youth and they should come in the private sector for establishment of income generating units for which government is providing financial assistance and interest subsidy. Skill development training is also provided to the youth by various agencies.
The Lead Bank Manager Anantnag on the occasion distributed interest subsidy cheques worth Rs.1.11 cr. among 30 beneficiaries and SBI, Anantnag also distributed same cheques worth Rs. 15 lakhs among 02 beneficiaries.
The ACR, Anantnag, Joint Director Employment Srinagar, AD Employment Anantnag, General Managaer Industries Anantnag, Handloom Officer and other officers also spoke on the occasion. A large number of unemployed youth were registered by UDDAN, HIMIYAT, UMEED and other agencies. (KNS)
