Eight civilians injured in Pulwama grenade blast

Srinagar, Jun 18 (KNS): At least eight civilians sustained injuries after suspected militants hurled a grenade near Police Station Pulwama on Tuesday evening.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS) Correspondent, eight persons were injured in the grenade attack this evening, adding that the injured have been shifted to hospital for the treatment.

Four among the injured identified as Riyaz Ahmad Wagay, son of Ghulam Muhammad Wagay of Arihal Pulwama, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, son of Wali Muhammad Khan of Arihal, Mudasir Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Hameed Mir of Arihal Pulwama and Muhammad Ashraf Hajjam, son of Wali Muhammad Hajjam Malik Pora Pulwama were shifted to Srinagar’s hospital for specialized treatment, officials said.

They said four others identified as Abdul Majeed Kumar, son of Ghulam Muhammad Kumar of Arihal Pulwama, Muhammad Abdullah, son of Abdul Rehman Kumar of Arihal Pulwama, Muhammad Shafi Mir, son of Ghulam Nabi Mir of Arihal Pulwama, Muhammad Sadiq, son of Muhammad Sayeer Khan of Rajouri are undergoing treatment at Pulwama hospital.

Meanwhile, a search operation has been launched in the area to nab the attackers. (KNS)
