Pattan, Oct 18 (KNS): Rare case of bilateral giant fibroadenomas, four in each breast was operated in SDH Pattan. Patient had clinical, USG and FNAC documented bilateral fibroadenoma. Each swelling was about 10 cm in length in both breasts. Usually giant fibroadenomas(5cm.) are rare to see and that to about 10 cm is very rare. This surgery was done in scarless fashion by periareolar in view of being unmarried. All eight swellings were removed in toto. Operative team under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Pattan Dr Manzoor Ahmad Hakeem.
Dr Imtiaz Ahmad Wani, surgeon, Dr M. Amin Anesthest, and Dr Hilal Ahmad, Anesthist Theatre technicians were also part of operation.
Before this surgery Dr Imtiyaz Wani has done many rare surgeries at Sub District hospital Pattan.
