Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNS): Deputy Speaker Assembly Nazir Gurezi on Tuesday chaired meeting of MLAs belonging to far flung areas of Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe and discussed implementation of the law in the state.
According to KNS correspondent, Gurezi told reporters that some 24-25 MLAs today held a meeting to discuss the implementation of SC and ST in the state. “The resolution was earlier passed in the assembly but some elements had filed PIL against it, which halted its implantations,” he said.
He said some vested interests are not allowing the implantation of the law. “We are trying our best to implement the law in the state,” he said. (KNS)
