Says Police must remain vigilant outside schools

Srinagar, Feb 09 (KNS): National Conference (NC) senior leader and MLA Habba Kadal, Shameema Firdous on Friday said that the drug trafficking should be controlled in the Valley especially in Srinagar areas.
Talking to KNS, Firdous said that the drug peddlers are selling the drugs outside the Government schools therefore involving the girl students. “Police should remain vigilant outside the Govt schools to curb such kind of happenings,” she said.
She said that the persons involved in drug trafficking should be booked as per the law.
MLA Habba Kadal also alleged that involvement of police officials in drug trafficking, saying “it has been seen that some police officials were also involved in the act therefore police didn’t act against them.”
She said that police should play pivotal role in control the drug trafficking and drug addiction in Kashmir. “Everybody is concerned over such kind of happenings and such acts must be controlled,” she added. (KNS)
