Jammu, Oct 31 (KNS): Transport Department, J&K today accorded warm farewell to Transport Commissioner Dr. S.P. Vaid, who attained superannuation today.

A function was held at Transport Commissioner Office, Jammu to bid farewell to Dr Vaid.

The officers recalled the services of the Dr Vaid and his contribution to the department. They also highlighted the various projects and works which were carried out and accomplished by Dr. S.P. Vaid during his tenure for the welfare and providing better services to the general public.

They wished him good health and a happy post retirement life. Speaking on the occasion Dr Vaid also thanked the Motor Vehicles Department for their support and conveyed good wishes to the Officers/Officials of the Department.

The function was attended by Dhananter Singh, Regional Transport Officer, Jammu, S. Gurmukh Singh, Joint Transport Commissioner, J&K, Jammu, Dr. Raj Kumar, Thapa, Regional Transport Officer, Kathua, Ramesh Kumar Bhatt, Additional Secretary Road Safety Council,

The function was also attended by Assistant Transport Commissioner, J&K, ARTO Board of Inspections and ARTO Jammu/Udhampur/Samba along with their staff. (KNS)
