Dr Farooq must shun anti-national rhetoric, release ‘welcome step’: Nirmal Singh

Srinagar, Mar 13 (KNS): Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh on Friday welcomed the release of Dr Farooq Abdullah and hoped the NC leader will refrain onwards from anti-national rhetoric.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), senior BJP leader welcomed the revocation of detention order of PSA of NC leader Dr Farooq Abdullah by government of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Government may have taken the decision after considering the current situation. I welcome the release of Dr Farooq who had been multiple times Chief Minister of J&K”, Singh said.
He also said, “I hope Dr Farooq will onwards shun anti-national rhetoric which instigates people towards violence and causes law and order problems”.
Senior BJP leader added that everyone has a right to reach out society but if one misleads society like Dr Farooq did in recent past while giving anti-national statements, then he should keep it in mind that detention is the second home of such people.
BJP leader said, “Dr Farooq’s release is a good step and I hope he will contribute in strengthening the roots of democracy under the principles of Indian Constitution. He should avoid pushing people to violence”.
When asked about the release of other mainstream politicians, Singh said “It is the issue of Government who can take the decision after taking stock of the situation”.
He added, government has announced the commission for De-limitation in which 90 seats will be delimited. In days to come further steps will be taken in this regard. (KNS)
