Srinagar, July 04 (KNS): Director Horticulture
Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, (KAS) on Saturday paid a surprise visit to Fruit Plant nursery Gopalpora Budgam and inspected various developmental activities works.

According to KNS Instructions were issued for conducting time bound operations and proper maintenance of the nursery, while following the guidelines and SOP related to COVID-19 Pandemic.

He had stressed upon full attention is being given in production of true to type plant material for meeting the requirement of farmers of the area.
Director Horticulture also instructed all staff members of the Department to remain punctual, dedicated and honest in performing legtimate Government duties and maintain a close liaison with the growers, orchardists so that they get timely technical knowhow and benfits of departmental schemes.
Regarding celebration of Kisan Pakhwada from 7th of July 2020 to 21st of July 2020 instructions were given to organize the Kisan Mela’s during the Pakhwada and maintain close liaison with the allied Departments for successful organizing of the programme while strictly following the SOP’s for containment and management of COVID-19 Pandemic.(KNS)
