Advisor Sknandan says 'prompt action will follow'

Srinagar, Mar 14 (KNS): An order issued by Director Agriculture Kashmir on relieving of recently transferred officials in contradiction of the order of the administrative department issued with consent of the Election Commission Of India is the first major violation of the model code of conduct in Jammu and Kashmir state after the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections last Sunday.
Top sources while disclosing this to Kashmir News Service (KNS) revealed that a government order bearing No :62-Agri of 2019:dated1-3-2019, a copy of which lies with KNS issued by the Administrative Secretary Agriculture Production Department in consent with the Election Commission of India was to be implemented by Director Agriculture Kashmir who instead of relieving the transferred officials issued another order himself directing therein the officials not to get relieved till their relievers join new places of postings.
It may be mentioned here that the transfer order issued by the Secretary Agriculture Production Department has directed the transferred officials to treat themselves as relieved from their present places of posting and the said order has been issued with the consent of the Election Commission of India.
When contacted Advisor to Governor Skandan Kumar said, "I will look into the matter and take appropriate action." (KNS)
