Detained leaders not ready to stay in ‘un-hygienic rooms’ at MLA Hostel

Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNS): A scene was created at MLA Hostel here on Sunday as detained political leaders, who were shifted to the place from Centaur Hotel, declined to stay in the rooms which “were not properly cleaned.”

Sources told KNS that People’s Conference chairman Sajjad Lone, SMC Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran, National Conference General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, JKPM chief Dr Shah Faesal, PDP leader Waheed Parra and Yasir Reshi declined to stay in the rooms provided to them as they were not cleaned properly.

“These leaders had heated argument with the security officers as they declined to enter the unhygienic rooms and told the officials they may be shifted to Srinagar Central Jail as there were not proper arrangements at the MLA Hostel,” they revealed.

However, a police official told KNS that no argument happened at MLA Hostel. “They are all reasonable people and didn’t create any problems at all,” he said. (KNS)
