Apprises him about increasing prevalence of ‘unfortunate’ incidents

Srinagar, Feb 21 (KNS): A delegation of KAS Officers Association led by its President Tasaduq Mir Hussain today called on the Chief Secretary to apprise him about the incident of misbehavior with one of their colleagues Shafiq Ahmed Chek Director RUSA by Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Asgar Hasan Samoon.
The Chief Secretary described the incident as an unfortunate one and assured the delegation that the matter will be seriously looked into.
The Association apprised the Chief Secretary about the increasing prevalence of such unfortunate incidents of misbehavior with Officers which has a demotivating effect on them, besides leading to an erosion of professional etiquette.
In order to address the issue, the Chief secretary assured the delegation that a Specific Advisory will be issued to the Government Officers for regulating their behavior and conduct in the professional lives in keeping with the provisions of J&K Civil Service Conduct Rules.
The Chief Secretary underscored the need to uphold the highest standards of professional etiquette by Officers both in professional and public life, and maintenance of harmonious relationship at workplaces. (KNS)
