Demands issuance of 7th Pay Commission reckoner, revocation of SRO 202

Srinagar, Mar 17 (KNS): Senior JCC leader and President Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Abdul Qayoom Wani termed the delay in issuance of 7th Pay Commission reckoner in favour of Govt Employees and public sector employees and redressal of all pay anomalies as a serious concern for every employee of the state.
In a statement issued to KNS, Wani said that the price of essential commodities have touched the sky and the employees are worst sufferers. He said that the employees of the state have already opted to wait for one year in 2016 to provide a chance for regularisation of poor temporary, casual, daily wagers and other categories of employees and Govt. has already agreed in principle to implement 7th pay commission on Government and Public sector employees from the month of April 2018 besides removal of all pending anomalies of different departments for which Ex. Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu has made an announcement on the floor of Assembly in the budget session.
EJAC President said that the New Finance Minister Syed Mohd Altaf Bukhari is known for his employee friendly attitude and positive mindset and employees are waiting for good news from the Government regarding the issues already agreed.
Wani said that New Finance Minister will take personal interest to implement the 7th pay commission at an earliest.
He urged upon the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Finance Minister Syed Mohd Altaf Bukhari, worthy Chief Secretary B. B. Viyas and worthy Principle Secretary Finance Naveen Chowdhary for immediate issuance of 7th Pay Commission reckoner, removal of pay anomalies besides other issues of employees fraternity to avoid chaos and confusion among the employee fraternity.
EJAC President said that we are hopeful that Govt. will fulfill its commitment with the employee leaders and will avoid any sort of confrontation which will badly effect the employee, employer relationship. He said that EJAC leadership is closely monitoring the developments regarding the 7th pay commission and other issues and will react sharply in case the need arises.
Wani also urged upon the Govt. to speed up the process of regularisation of temp. Employees and inclusion of Contingent paid workers, casual employees of Urban Local Bodies and PSUs in SRO 520 and immediate revocation of SRO 202.
Wani appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for reopening the cases of 9 employees terminated during 2016 unrest and demanded departmental enquiry into the matter to provide justice to the employees whose families have reached to the stage of starvation. (KNS)
