Srinagar, Feb 10 (KNS): Candidates who had applied for the posts of supervisor advertised by J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board Saturday expressed resentment over the deferment of holding tests.
A group of candidates told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that they had been burning toil to crack the tests in an order to be in merit list for selection for the posts advertised.
“J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board, Srinagar, had advertised certain posts of supervisors in 2016. Hundreds of candidates applied for these posts. We all have been waiting for holding of tests for these posts,” the aspirants said.
They added that authorities have recently announced the dates (Feb 10 and 11) for holding of these tests and candidates who had been burning toil to crack it had a reason to cheer.
“However, the authorities suddenly announced the deferment of these scheduled tests without giving any reasonable reason,” they said.
They added that at time when government is claiming to fill up the vacant posts on fast track basis, J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board, Srinagar, in deep slumber.
“If J&K Khadi and Village Industries, Srinagar, is not able to hold and complete the recruitment process of these few posts from past three years, what good one can expect from the authorities at the helm of affairs in this institution,” they rued.
They appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene into the matter and direct the concerned officials to hold tests without any further delay.
Secretary KVIB, Rashid Ahmad Qadri told KNS that the examination for the posts was postponed on court directions.
“It was Special Secretary Law and parliamentary affairs who issued the notification regarding the deferment of exams. KVIB have nothing to do with such examinations. It is the Law department who is holding this exam. We only received the forms of the candidates. We have been informed that these exams were postponed on court directions,” he said. (KNS)
