Srinagar, Nov 20 (KNS): Senior BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain on Friday said that the decision of abrogation of Article 370 can never be rescinded; adding the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) is selling dreams to people of J&K for keeping themselves relevant.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the BJP leader who was addressing a press conference in summer capital Srinagar said that the abrogation of Article 370 cannot be rescinded. “The decisions taken by PM Modi led BJP government on August 5, 2019 has become history. The abrogation of Article 370 cannot be undone”, he said.
Hussain who has been appointed as Kashmir In-charge for the upcoming BDC polls told reporters that leaders of PAGD are befooling people in the name of Article 370 and are making “impracticable promises” over its restoration.
“The signatories of PAGD have been thrown out by people of Jammu and Kashmir who came to know how much they dent the development of UT during last seventy years. Now to keep themselves in the row, they befool people over restoration of Article 370”, the BJP leader said.
He said the BJP is always concerned over the welfare and development of people of J&K who had been ignored during dynastic politics, but BJP is committed for their bright future as all hurdles have been thrown away.
“It is the right of people to provide them a developed atmosphere and BJP is committed for ensuring J&K to the new heights. I assure people of J&K the UT will see a new era of development under BJP rule”, he claimed.
He added, “The work on many projects would have been carried forward but due to Covid-19 outbreak these projects were put on hold”, and added “Now the situation is coming to normal gradually and soon the work will be restored”.
He said PM Modi has already made it clear that Jammu and Kashmir will witness similar development which other parts of the Country witnessed.
“There will no discrimination on developmental front. What other parts of Country witnessed, J&K will be taken at par”, the BJP leader said.
Hitting out at NC and PDP, he said that these parties have looted every penny for ensuring luxurious life to their families and thereby left common man to suffer badly.
He said that BJP was always against the family rule as our leaders never give priority to our families.
Taking a jibe to PAGD, the BJP leader said that the Gupkar Alliance has conceded the decisions taken on August 5, 2019 and it is why they have decided to participate in DDC polls now.
Lashing out at NC, PDP and other regional mainstream political parties, Shahnawaz Hussain said that these parties have ruined the career of youth and persuaded them towards violence.
“BJP wants youth of J&K to prosper in every field. We will ensure pen and laptops in the hands of every youth instead of gun”, he said. (KNS)
