Distributes sports kits on his visit to Pulwama

Srinagar, Feb 21 (KNS): Deputy Inspector General of Police SKR Amit Kumar visited Pulwama where he inaugurated a Police Station, presided over two public meeting and later distributed sports kits among the youth, today.
DIG Amit Kumar first inaugurated Police Station at Kakapora which was upgraded recently by the Govt. vide order NO: 1853/ Home of 2017 dated 22/12/2017 from Police Post to Police Station.
During his visit, the DIG SKR Amit Kumar also chaired two Police Public meetings at Police Station Kakapora and District police Lines Pulwama. Meeting at Police Station Kakapora was attended by Traders Federation, Transport union Kakapora and a large number members of civil society of Kakapora and adjoining villages.
Sarpanches, Panches, Numberdars, Market committee, Transporters, Trade Union and large number of respectable citizens of Pulwama area participated in the meeting held at DPL Pulwama and put forth their grievances and problems.
DIG heard all the issues and grievances of the participants at both the meetings and assured all possible help and assistance. However, he sought their cooperation for eradication of social crimes in the society.
After the meeting, DIG Amit Kumar distributed sports kits and uniform items among the local youth under Civic Action Programme. SSP Pulwama, Mohammad Aslam, ASP Pulwama, Chandan Kohli, DySP DAR, DySP Hqrs and other senior officers were also present on the occasion. (KNS)
