Srinagar, Dec 09 (KNS): DIG North Kashmir Atul Kumar Goel-IPS today visited Police District Handwara where he held a detailed interaction with the jawans. On the occasion, SP Handwara Ashish Kumar Mishar-IPS briefed DIG about the Police functioning in Handwara.
Earlier DIG NKR visited Police Martyr memorial at District Police Lines Handwara where he paid floral tributes to Martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
While interacting with the jawans, DIG heard the grievances of the officials and assured them that their genuine demands would be taken up with the appropriate authority.
Latter, he visited Police Station Vilgam and held a casual inspection of the Police Station & took stock of various issues. He advised officers and officials of the Police station to be more people friendly and to address the issues of the public in a speedy manner.
Senior Police Officers including ASP Handwara Ifroz Ahmad, SDPO Handwara, DYSP DAR, DySP Ops Handwara, DySP Karalgund also interacted with DIG NKR and discussed various issues pertaining to Police matters in Handwara. (KNS)
