Srinagar, Jan 26 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) today thanked people of Kashmir for observing shutdown on Indian Republic Day and observing it as Black Day.
The party said that today’s shutdown must open the eyes of New Delhi which claims of being the largest democracy and it must confess that people of Jammu Kashmir want a resolution to the oldest political dispute.
The DFP strongly condemned the imposing of curfew in Srinagar areas and not allowing people to offer Friday prayers. The local administration on the behest of its master in New Delhi is intervening in the religious matters of Kashmiri people every now and then which if not stopped can have dangerous consequences.
The DFP appealed people to keep the torch of resistance burning until the goal of freedom is achieved. (KNS)
