Srinagar, Dec 03 (KNS): Expressing solidarity with its incarcerated leader and party chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has said that the politics of oppression and hate cannot lead anywhere.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the party said that the central office bearers of the party held a meeting to discuss the present political scenario and the situation arisen due to the incarceration of Shabir Shah. The meeting was chaired by the party secretary general Maulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari.
The participants hailed the just political stance of Shabir Shah and expressed complete solidarity with their ailing and jailed leader. Shah sahib is being targeted for his just political stance and his steadfastness over it. However this criminal attitude of authorities towards him is not new. He has spent more than half of his life in jails and interrogation centers but he has never compromised with his principles.
The participants however expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health condition of their leader and said that his bad health has caused worries among them. They however pledged to safeguard the mission of their leader. They said that Shabir Shah is the name of an ideology and he has become the icon of the ongoing freedom struggle.
The participants reiterated that Kashmir issue cannot be resolved by killings and incarcerations but by applying political measures. This has been the basis of the politics of Shabir Ahmad Shah as well. (KNS)
