Expresses concern over loss of precious lives on both sides of LoC

Srinagar, Jan 21 (KNS): Expressing serious concern over the LoC and border skirmishes of India and Pakistan and the loss of lives on both sides, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that Kashmir dispute is the only reason of prevailing tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad.
Expressing deep concern over the loss of precious lives on both sides of the LoC and border, DFP secretary general Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari said in a statement that unless Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people, the clouds of war and border skirmishes between the two nuclear powers will remain.
He said that Kashmiri people living on both sides of the de-facto border have never accepted the bloody line so it is high time to accept the historical facts about the Kashmir dispute and address it so as to resolve it once for all. This only can put an end to the India-Pakistan enmity and save precious human lives weather of armed force’s or civilians.
He said that by shelling and firing along the LoC and international border human lives are lost. Properties are also damaged and people are compelled to flee from their native places hence putting them under severe psychological and physical stress.
Appealing UNMOGIP to perform its duty, Moulana Tari said that it must look into the day to day firing incidents along the LoC and inform the United Nations about the real situation of the line which divides Kashmir. The UNMOGIP is solely responsible to have a close vigil on the LoC and implement the ceasefire of 1949. The institution must impress upon India to address the political aspirations of the people of Kashmir and implement the resolutions passed in the UNSC from time to time. The addressing to the resolution of the Kashmir dispute could end the border tension between India and Pakistan, Moulana Tari said.(KNS)
