Kupwara, Nov 18 (KNS): On the instructions of DDC Kupwara Khalid Jahangir, the SDRF conducted an awareness cum Mock Drill exercise at DPL Handwara in presence of officers of civil Defense, Police, Tehsil administration, experts, red cross volunteers about the rescue relief and rehabilitation measures and precautionary measures during any man made or natural disaster through its required equipments available with them.
On this occasion the Chief guest impressed upon the SDRF and concerned rescue operational authorities to impart necessary training to youth of the district regarding first aid rescue relief and other tactics required and arises during floods, fire, earthquake, avalanche, forest fire, road accidents to provide immediate help to the victims caused due to manmade and natural disasters and the Mock drill should be initiated at all public places so that main goal could be achieved.
The incharge SDRF unit Kupwara said that 4000 volunteers have been engaged with the rescue operations in the district have been impacted basic tactics of the disaster management precautions’ to provide help to needy people during any emergency.
