DDC Shopian reviews status of languishing projects

Shopian, Nov 30 (KNS): District Development Commissioner Dr Owais Ahmed today reviewed the status of languishing projects of district at mini secretariat Arhama Shopian.
The meeting was attended by the ADDC, Chief Planning Officer, SE Hydraulic , Xen PHE, I&FC, PDD, district officers of Horticulture and agriculture department, and executive officers of all concerned departments.,
During meeting DDC took scheme wise review of projects undertaken by different departments and funded under the languishing projects and detailed discussion was also held on various issues related to the effective implementation of vital schemes in the district.
The meeting was informed that in PHE, Health , DIC, Irrigation and R&B sector ,33 projects have been approved in the languishing projects for which amount of Rs 59.6975 crore has been approved .
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC impressed upon the officers to speed up the pace of work on these projects and ensure the completion of the languishing projects within the stipulated timeframe. He also stressed for the judicious use of funds besides the use of quality material on the works taken up under various sectors in the district. (KNS)
