Srinagar, Nov 03 (KNS): Life across Kashmir Valley remained paralyzed on Sunday with all shops and business establishments remained out of bounds throughout the day. However the notable Sunday market remained abuzz with customers throughout the day despite rains for few hours. In downtown and uptown areas of Srinagar district, shops were shut and traffic was off the roads. However in popularly known Sunday market, thousands of customers thronged here to buy winter stuff and other essential commodities.

Eye witnesses said, despite few hours of rains in Srinagar city in early hours of the day, Sunday market remained packed throughout the day. Hundreds of vendors had erected their stalls from Hari Singh High Street to TRC Crossing stretch where thousands of buyers were seen purchasing winter stuff and other commodities. Due to huge rush of buyers, long queues of traffic jams were seen over in Lal Chowk and adjoining areas. However authorities had deployed police and other security personnel in the commercial hub Lal Chowk to keep vigil over the suspicious elements.
