DAK welcomes promotion of specialists

 Srinagar, Feb 12 (KNS):  Doctors Association Kashmir Wednesday welcomed promotion of nearly one hundred Medical Officers and said move would improve peripheral healthcare.

 
In a statement to Kashmir News Service, President DAK Dr Suhail Naik said promoting and elevating doctors to higher level with added responsibility will boost their morale, increases productivity and hence improves upon the overall working culture and effectiveness of the department.
 
“Promoting employees for their excellence in performance is important to value their efforts and infuse positive energy in them,” he said.
 
Dr Naik praised Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education, Attal Duloo  for his efforts in streaming the department are worth appreciated.
 
“It is due to his dynamic leadership in the health sector of Jammu and Kashmir has shown exponential growth in all essential aspects including infrastructure, manpower, human resources management, modern gadgetry, equipment and subsequently a significant drop in infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate.,” he said.
 
DAK said with the consistent efforts of the Financial Commissioner for the opening of five New Medical Colleges are functioning smoothly in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
“His personal inclination to improve ailing health care at gross roots played pivotal role in up-gradation of infrastructure and recruitment on fast track basis,” DAK said.
 
Dr Owais Dar, General Secretary DAK, said the FC has played very crucial role in up-gradation of many sub-district and district hospitals, where Diplomat of National Board (DNB) courses are likely to be started in coming months.
 
“With the start of postgraduate DNB courses at various hospitals, a tier of specialist doctors would be available to people at their doorsteps,” he said.
 
He requested the government to utilize the services of these promoted consultants as guides and co-guides for the DNB postgraduate students in hospitals. (KNS)
