Sopore, Sept 18 (KNS): The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) office in Sopore is facing public criticism for its poor functioning and failure to deliver timely services.

Customers allege that routine work, including billing, new connections, and other service-related requests, is either delayed or left unattended, causing widespread inconvenience.

Residents said that despite repeated visits to the office, their grievances remain unresolved. “For the past two weeks, I have been visiting the office for a simple billing issue, but no one takes responsibility. We feel helpless,” said Mohammad Ashraf, a local resident.

Another customer, Parveena Akhtar, said she has been struggling to get a new connection.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Every time I go there, I am told to come the next day. This is not how a service office should function. We expect accountability,” she said.

Locals have urged higher authorities to intervene and ensure that the BSNL Sopore office functions properly to meet public needs. “BSNL is a government-run service provider, and people rely on it. The authorities must take strict measures to fix the inefficiency,” said another resident.

Meanwhile, ADC Sopore, S.A. Raina, while speaking to KNS, assured that the matter will be taken up with the concerned officials. “We will look into the issue and ensure that the BSNL office provides uninterrupted services to the public,” he said.(KNS).
