Srinagar, Sep 20 (KNS): The Congress has stabbed the people of Jammu & Kashmir by announcing its participation in elections & shamelessly sided with BJP/ RSS policy of linking Panchayat/ local body elections with petitions on Art 35A & 370 lying in the Supreme Court. This was stated by ANC Sr vice president & member civil society coordination committee, Muzzafar Shah, in a press release from New Delhi today.
Commenting on the Congress decision, Shah said, the Congress has trampled upon the resilience, honour & special rights of the people of J&K by aligning with BJP, RSS combine valuing the life of an ordinary Citizen at an astonishing Rs 10 lacs. You can’t buy even one kidney in the open market for that price, leave alone a human being, Shah stated.
The Congress has deceived the people at a critical juncture when the masses from all three regions of the state have come on a single platform to protect the State Subject laws & beat the evil designs of the fascist & divisive forces in the country hell bent upon trifurcation of J&K State. These forces have engaged in conniving through the legal channels for abrogation of Art 35A & Art 370. The statement of RSS chief today, stating that Art 35A & Art 370 will be abolished should be an eye opener for all.. The Congress dual policy stands exposed. It is the party responsible for arrest of an elected Prime Minister in 1953, eroding the terms of the special status by bringing in 42 Presidential Amendments from 1954 through back door, Nomenclature change from PM to CM, Sadar-e-Riyasat to Governor, Election commission & Supreme Court jurisdiction into the state, with systematic dilution of Article 370, he said.
Muzzafar Shah further stated that the massive majority of the state today are more resolved to defeat the nefarious designs of such forces & the anti people decision of the congress-has unmasked their real intentions not only on elections but on their becoming a part of the exercise to break the will of the people, who today stand on one platform to defend the Sovereign guarantees given to them by the Union of India under a historic background & the unique position J&K State enjoys.
The Congress has ditched the people of the state on 35A & 370 by cleverly evading intervention status at the Supreme Court as done by NC, ANC, CPI(M) & Civil society members from all three regions of the state & repeated a similar action that reminds us of the backstabbing done by the Party in 1947 & 1953, from which the state has never recovered.
It is time that all stake holders, Separatists, Mainstream, Civil Society of all three regions stand united to ensure total boycott of the upcoming farcical elections & give a befitting reply to all those forces joining together to snatch away the Rights & Identity of the permanent residents of the state & abrogation of Art 35 A & 370 aimed at changing the majority status of J&K state.
