Cold intensifies further; Srinagar records season’s coldest night

Srinagar, Dec 29 (KNS): Cold wave conditions intensified across Kashmir on Sunday with Srinagar recording coldest night of the season at minus 6.2 degrees Celsius.
The intense chill has resulted in freezing of portions of famous Dal Lake and other water bodies in the Valley besides water taps. However, sun came out from behind the cloud during the day, resulting in some improvement in the day temperature.
A MeT official told KNS that Srinagar recorded the coldest night of the season with temperatures dropping down to minus 6.2 degree Celsius.
