Srinagar, Nov 30 (KNS): The one-week workshop on research methodology on the theme “C-programming, Latex and Mathematics,” organized by the Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) at Nowgam-III academic block concluded here on Wednesday. Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, Dean School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, Prof. Wali Mohammad Shah, Coordinator Department of Mathematics, Dr. Aftab Ahmad, faculty members, research scholars and students were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar as per the statement issued to KNS lauded the research scholars for evincing keen interest in the workshop. He said the scholars would have gained tremendous knowledge about different research methodologies adopted for conducting research in Mathematics. Prof. Zargar said the scholars are mentors to the students and at the same time are learners as well.
Earlier, Dean, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, Prof. Wali Muhammad Shah, gave a detailed account about the weeklong workshop stating that subject experts from different universities across the country were invited to deliver lectures during the event.
Coordinator Department of Mathematics, Dr. Aftab Hussain Shah conducted the programme proceedings and proposed the vote of thanks. (KNS)
