Reshuffle of portfolios to follow after his formal appointment

Srinagar, Nov 22 (KNS): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary C Phonsong is likely to be appointed fifth Advisor to Governor in Jammu and Kashmir in coming few days and after his formal appointment yet another dose of reshuffle in portfolios among the Advisors is likely to be ordered.
Top sources while disclosing this to Kashmir News Service (KNS) revealed that following the dissolution of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly the Governor Satya Pal Malik with the tacit approval of the Central Government has almost decided to appoint fifth Advisor which would take the toll of Advisors to five. C Phonsong, a former chief secretary of J&K known for his professional integrity, is likely to be appointed Governor’s fifth Advisor. The other four Advisors presently working under Governor Satya Pal Malik are K Vijay Kumar, a retired IPS officer, B B Vyas, a former Chief Secretary of J&K, Khursheed Ahmad Ganai, a former financial commissioner of J&K Government and K K Sharma, a former chief secretary of Delhi and Goa. Recently Governor had reshuffled the portfolios among his four advisors after the induction of K K Sharma and now after the induction of C Phonsong the Governor is likely to reshuffle portfolios of Advisors to distribute equal number of portfolios among his Advisors. With the induction of fifth Advisor the strength of State Administrative Council, enjoying the powers of cabinet will go up to seven including Governor and usually the strength of state cabinet under popular government is twelve.
