Bull dies of rabies, not killed by MC Handwara: Tehsildar

Handwara, June 05 (KNS): Teshildar Handwara Aijaz Ahmad on Friday clarified that the news reports of killing a bull by Municipality Committee Handwara is "unfounded" and said the bull was died of rabies as per reports.

According to reports reached to KNS, an uncontrolled stray bull was roaming in Handwara Bypass who reportedly injured two persons who later on shifted to nearby medical facility for first aid.

"Soon after locals spotted bull creating havoc, they approached Municipal Committee Handwara for action", reports said and added "The stray uncontrollable bull, after streneous efforts by personnel of MC Handwara was overpowered".

Tehsildar Handwara Aijaz Ahmad told KNS that "bull was not killed, however he was died of rabies as report given by the assistant surgeon ICD/TU Handwara", he clarified. He further said that the work of the administration was to took the bull away from the area and they did it professionally. (KNS)
