Says salary to be released strictly according to biometric attendance

Term 1st examinations for Class 5th to 8th to be held from June 25
Srinagar, Jun 23 (KNS): Secretary School Education Farooq Ahmad Shah along with other officers from Administrative Department will personally listen to the public grievances and issue on spot instructions for their redressal on every Thursday from 11 am to 2 pm in the Conference Hall of Directorate of School Education Kashmir. This was stated by Director School Education Kashmir and Secretary JKBOSE Dr. G.N. Itoo in a meeting regarding the progress of the implementation of the recent instructions of Governor of J&K and to review the arrangements for the conduct of Term 1st examination.
Referring to the seven point instructions issued by Governor of the State, he sought progress report from all the Officers regarding the implementation of these instructions. He said that the biometric attendance has been made compulsory for the attendance of all the employees and salary of employees should be strictly drawn as per biometric attendance. He also said that necessary instructions in this regard have already been issued to all District Officers and Head of the Institutions.
During the meeting DSEK also reviewed the arrangements for the conduct of Term 1st examinations starting from 25th June 2018 in all the Districts of Kashmir Division including Leh and Kargil.
Incharge Examination Kashmir Division, Joint Director Trainings and Head of SIE Kashmir Mehboob Hussain gave a detailed briefing to DSEK regarding the arrangements for the examinations. He said that a total of 2, 28, 372 (Two lakh twenty eight thousand three hundred and seventy two) students including that of Class 9th are appearing in this examination and the examinations shall start as per already notified date sheet.
DSEK Dr. Itoo instructed all the concerned officers to be proactive during the conduct of the examinations so that the process runs smoothly. He said that due to some technical reasons the examinations for Class 9th have been postponed and new dates shall be announced separately.
The meeting was attended by Personal Officer DSEK Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, Joint Director North Bashir Ahmad Wani, Deputy Director Planning Muhammad Yousuf Rather, all the Chief Education Officers, Principal DIETs, OSD Academics DSEK Mir Sanaullah, Incharge Examination SIE Kashmir Dr. Nazneen and other officers of the Department.
