Srinagar, Aug 23 (KNS): Senior Hurriyat leader and Chairman Peoples Conference today visited the residence of the bereaved family of former minister and PDP leader Sofi Mohi-u-din. Sofi passed away at SKIMS sours on Tuesday morning.
Lone termed Sofi has a noble person who always stood for the poor.
According to KNS, lauding the role of Sofi Mohi-u-din, Lone said he had earned a name in the region for his social work. “He was more a social worker than a politician. He had close relation with our family. He was a close associate of my father late Abdul Gani Lone,” said Bilal.
He said Sofi Mohi-u-din played a key role in the politics of Kashmir and was also the well wisher of downtrodden people. His death is a big loss to the state politics especially to the people of north Kashmir,” he said. Lone also conveyed her heartfelt sympathies to the family of the late leader and prayed for eternal solace to his soul. (KNS)
