Says, ‘No elections till SC announces its final verdict on Article 35-A, Article 370

Srinagar, Sep 12 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Coordination Committee (JK CSCC) has voiced its serious concern over the attempts of both BJP and RSS to lure people for participation in elections by promising them unaffordable concessions under Central Government’s developmental schemes.
According to the KNS correspondent, terming the attempts of both RSS and BJP a futile exercise, the J&K Civil Society Coordination Committee has said that despite attempts to lure voters for participation in elections the government couldn’t hold bye-election for south Kashmir Lok Sabha constituency.
Saying that government has no moral right to conduct local body elections and put in oblivion the proceedings on petitions filed in the Supreme Court against 35-A and 370, the J&K’s Civil Society Coordination Committee said that unless and until Supreme Court does not announce a final decision on petitions filed against Article 35-A and Article 370, the attempts of BJP to divide people of Jammu and Kashmir on the basis of religion and region won’t be allowed.
Hailing the statement of J&K Congress president Ghulam Ahmad Mir in which he has said that situation is not conducive for holding elections in Kashmir valley, the J&K Civil Society Coordination Committee said that its efforts would bring unity among the people and thought the evil designs of both BJP and RSS.
Leaders if the J&K Civil Society Coordination Committee Muzafar Ahmad Shah, Advocate Mir Javed and Jagmohan Singh Raina have expressed gratitude to all political and non political groups and forums for showing unity for protection of Atricle 35-A and Article 370. (KNS)
