Karnah, Apr 24 (KNS): Tehsil Legal Service Committee Karnah in collaboration with Degree College Tangdarh conducted a daylong awareness programme on sexual violence culpability of young offenders and cyber offences in Degree College Tanghdar.

The programme was attended by hundreds of HSS Tanghdar and Degree College Tanghdar students, Teaching and non teaching staff, members of bar assiositation , lawyers and others.

The programme was presided over by the Chairman Tehsil legal servive Committee Karnah Easar-ul-Nabi (Munsif Judge Karnah). During the awareness programme Speaker explained in detail on the sexual violance abuse and rights of through a power point presentation.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) Chairman Tehsil Legal Service Committee Easar-ul-Nabi said that aim of organizing such programme was to aware rights guaranteed under different laws and about ways to fight any kind of physical, sexual, emotional or psychological abuse at the hands of any persons at home or outside home he also spoke on the Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act.

The Chairman Tehsil Legal service Committee urged Students, teachers to immediately contact legal service authority, police or court in case any sexual abuse case takes place, to get justice to the victim, instead of trying to hide it he also asked students to learn from the awareness session and be the ambassadors of change with sharing awareness of rights to each student, siblings and friends to stop sexual abuse in the society.

On the occasion, the students also spoke on the topic at the end of program. The college in charge principal Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad thanked all the participants. (KNS)
