Srinagar, Apr 23 (KNS): Authorities Sunday disallowed the book release funtion of Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani at his residence in Hyderpora, Srinagar.
Geelani was scheduled to release his book "Iqbal-Rohi Deen Ka Shinasa" volume 3rd on Sir Mohammad Iqbal.
Policemen were deployed in strength around his residence-cum-office in Hyderpora area of Srinagar where people from different walks of life were expected to attend the book release function.
Nobody was allowed to cross the barricades erected ahead of the residence of the octogenarian leader. (KNS)
