Srinagar, Apr 22 (KNS): In view of rise of water level in Dal Lake/ River Jhelum and adjoining areas in District Srinagar, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone Saturday convened a meeting.
According to the statement issued to KNS, senior officers of LAWDA, I&FC, SMC, Drainage, Fire and Emergency Services, PHE, SDM (East) etc participated in the meeting.
He directed all the departments to keep their men and machinery ready to meet any eventuality.
Lone also directed Irrigation and Flood Control Department to make available adequate quantity of sand bags at various vulnerable spots. (KNS)
