Army holds free mega medical, veterinary camp at Trikanjan Boniyar

Baramulla, Jul 21 (KNS): Indian Army on Saturday organised a free mega medical and veterinary camp at Trikanjan Boniyar in Baramulla district.
According to details, the villagers residing in border areas lack access to basic amenities like health, education and food.
In this area too, there is no medical facility available ahead of PHC, Trikanjan and around 15,000 farmers and their families have to be dependent on the same for basic health care. So the locals of the area approached army's Torna battalion and demands free medical camp in their area.
In quick response from the Army, a free mega medical and veterinary camp was organised on Saturday at Trikanjan area of Boniyar tehsil by Torna battalion under the aegis of Pir Panjal Brigade.
A team of army doctors including dentists, conducted free consultations and checkups in orthopaedics, gynaecology, gastroenteritis, ENT, paediatrics, dermatology, and others.
Whereas free of cost medicines were also provided to the people. Around 600 patients of Trikanjan, Maidanan, and its adjoining areas, benefited from the free medical camp.
Locals of the trikanjan, highly appreciated, welcomed with specially thanked to Indian Army for organising a medical camp in the remote areas of Boniyar, and has provided impetus to Indian army's policy of providing healing touch and has proved the mettle of their motto of Awam and Jawan as one.
